Designing for Integrated Outcomes and Impact
This workshop helps teams to identify, design and implement desired and preferred outcomes in transdisciplinary research to ensure expected outcomes are achieved. This includes achieving outcomes in changing the situation or context in which teams are working; developing effective and impactful knowledge artefacts; as well as contributing to transformational learning by all partners and team members involved. Workshops have been conducted in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Switzerland.
Exploring transdisciplinary progress and potential with New Zealand’s National Science Challenges – Outcome Spaces Framework. 26.02.2019, Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research, Lincoln, New Zealand.
Transdisciplinary Outcome Spaces Framework. 4.1.2018, Faculty of Sustainability, Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany.
Transdisciplinary Outcome Spaces Framework. 3.22.2018, TdLab, ETH Zurich, Switzerland (with C. Mitchell)
Accompanying Transformation Series
Universidad Iberoamericana founded a new Department for Interdisciplinary University Reflection (DRI), a unit responsible for a compulsory complementary study program across all degrees, to enhance reflexive and collaborative abilities of students. In 2021, we accompanied the DRI team in developing a shared understanding of interdisciplinarity, to revisit the objectives of the program and to diversify didactical interdisciplinary approaches.
